Waves of Flags

Sep. 10, 2022: The 9/11 Memorial Waves of Flags at Pepperdine University is on display. The nearly 3,000 flags - one for each person killed in the Sep. 11, 2001 terror attacks - were installed last night. The Waves of Flags, at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road, will be on display through Friday, Sept. 23, 2022. Average Camera Pro on iPhone.

Mullin Auto Museum

March 11, 2022: Bugatti Type 64 Coupe from 1939 (original chassis with 2012 body by Mullin Museum). The vehicle is on display at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California. Peter Mullin, an avid collector of French automobiles, opened the Mullin Automotive Museum in 2010. An Art Deco collection of furniture, paintings, and sculptures surrounds the classic French cars. The building is the former location of the Chandler Vintage Museum - where former Los Angeles Times Publisher Otis Chandler displayed his auto and motorcycle collection.

GT Car Show

March 13, 2022: The Sunset / Westlake GT Car Show - Cars & Coffee Reinvented event at the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall in Thousand Oaks, California. Big turnout, I estimate over 2,000 visitors and couple hundred vehicles on display.

Rock Around The Clock

March 27, 2022: During March, the Thousand Oaks Photo Groups' monthly contest was Song Title. So I purchased an antique-style clock and found a water-setting basin lined with rocks. Fortunately, the rock basin had a hole from a missing stone - the exact size of the clock.

June 4, 2022: Travel Town Museum in Los Angeles' Griffith Park. Wood carving statue of Casey Jones on display at Travel Town Museum in Los Angeles, California. Casey McCaughn created the redwood chainsaw sculpture in 2009. The railroad engineer Casey Jones is credited with saving many lives in April 30, 1900, train accident.
