Rock Around The Clock

March 27, 2022: During March, the Thousand Oaks Photo Groups' monthly contest was Song Title. So I purchased an antique-style clock and found a water-setting basin lined with rocks. Fortunately, the rock basin had a hole from a missing stone - the exact size of the clock.

Trail

April 8, 2022: Oak Creek Canyon Whole Access Interpretive Trail. The trail is lined with a fence to allow full handicap accessibility. This fence also adds a significant graphic element to pictures taken there.

Stuffed animals

Dec. 7, 2022: I found stuffed animals in trees this morning while walking in Pepper Tree Playground in Newbury Park, California. An anonymous area resident has left about 30 Christmas-related teddy bears in the Western loop of the park. Joggers and walkers report that the bears started arriving over the weekend. The bears also were present last December. Boy, I could write an attention-getting headline, "Bears Spotted in Local Park."

Oaks

Dec. 26, 2022: Once their leaves drop, the Oak Trees at Conejo Community Park become very graphic. The early 1960s park was initially run by the County of Ventura but transferred to the Conejo Valley Recreation and Park District in 1972. 350/365

Stuffed Animals

Dec. 28, 2022: This morning's walk at Pepper Tree Playfield included a check on the stuffed animals I've seen in the park since early December. They are still there, including this one found resting in beautiful light after last night's rain.
